Helping neighbors since 1953

Since 1953, our family has been helping neighbors across Charlotte protect their homes, cars, businesses and families. It started with Scott’s grandfather, Oscar, and his father, Richard, and today Kelly Childers and Scott Harris carry it on. Kelly W Childers

Kelly has been helping families and businesses across North and South Carolina with their insurance since 2003. He got his start working alongside his father-in-law, Richard W. Harris, and he’s thankful to carry on the fourth-generation family legacy today with his brother-in-law, Scott, and his son. Kelly is a licensed insurance broker, a property and casualty agent, and a life and health agent. His approach is simple: put your needs first and treat you the way he’d want to be treated. Kelly lives in Mint Hill with his wife and three children and is very involved in his church.

Scott Harris

Third-generation agent · Commercial lines

Scott is a third-generation agent, carrying on the values his grandfather, Oscar, and his father, Richard, started in 1953. We’re the oldest insurance agency in the Mint Hill area, and Scott still serves the greater Charlotte community the same way: great service and the right coverage for your needs and your budget. He’s licensed in North and South Carolina. Together with his brother-in-law, Kelly, he helps with home, auto and life coverage, and commercial insurance is his specialty.
